Enhanced Excel Formatting

Currently InfoBurst has limited Excel formatting whether it be via a template or an Excel artifact when utilizing DBConnect query results (and other sources) in your Burst.

I would recommend the ability to:

  • Use a predefined Excel layout (headers, shading, borders, column widths, date and currency formats)
  • Populate that layout with DBConnect query results
  • Distribute the resulting Excel file via email using Burst

What we have observed so far:

  • In the UX, New → Template appears to create delivery templates (destination/notification settings), not document/layout templates.
  • We do not see options to create Excel/Spreadsheet/Workbook artifacts or upload Excel layout templates.
  • There is no Excel/Office-related configuration visible under System → Configuration.
  • UNC/network paths appear to be supported only for output destinations, not as sources for Excel templates.
