Currently the system timesout at 20min with now way to change the timeout.

Add an entry to the General tab under System Configuration.

If I want to override the system default for idle time. If the system default is 10 min, I would want to up that to 20 min

What do you mean by "application timeout?" Are you referring to a user interface session?
